The Pericardium Release is a holistic manual therapy based on Cellular Bioenergetic Osteopathy, created by Montserrat Gascón. Its purpose is to release the energy contained in the heart and restore the balance of health and well-being through a subtle touch that encompasses the whole Being, attending to the Spirit, Soul, and Body.
Emotional shocks, such as fear, sadness, and anger, block the cells and cause retraction of the Pericardium, which alerts the neurovegetative system, responsible for stress and relaxation in the body. If this retraction persists or is very acute, it can generate physiological dysfunctions in the neurological, digestive, hormonal, emotional, and musculoskeletal systems.
The heart is the first organ to form and the last to stop when we die. The Pericardium is the protective membrane that surrounds the heart, ensuring its function even in situations of emotional stress. Its strategic position in the center of the body is vital, as a malfunction disrupts all bodily elements, generating feelings of chaos instead of order and calm. In response to an emotional shock, the Pericardium closes and creates retraction, affecting organs, glands, vessels, nerves, membranes, muscles, bones, and other nearby elements.
